MONROVIA — July 22, 2026:  Finda Bundoo was released from South Beach Prison on Tuesday following a Supreme Court order for her immediate release.

Hundreds of women and supporters of the Congress for Democratic Change gathered outside the facility to mark the occasion. The crowd filled the area with gospel songs, dancing, and expressions of joy as news of the release spread.

The celebration drew emotional scenes, with supporters expressing strong loyalty to Bundoo. One woman in the crowd told reporters, “I can give my life for Rescue Mother,” a statement that reflected the sentiment of many who had come to welcome her.

Court officials said the release was carried out in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directive.
