Monrovia, Liberia – March 22, 2026: The governing Unity Party solidified its vision for governance and party discipline during a high-profile National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at Monrovia’s Golden Key Hotel on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The gathering, attended by top party officials and national leaders—including His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr.—underscored the Party’s determination to align government actions with its ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID).
In a firm directive, the Party’s NEC warned government appointees against distancing themselves from party affairs, condemning statements such as “I am not here for Unity Party business.” The leadership emphasized that such disengagement undermines Liberia’s developmental goals.

“Public officials serving under this administration must remain loyal to the Party’s vision and accountable to the people,” a senior party official stated. The NEC stressed that unity and discipline are non-negotiable for effective governance.
Beyond internal cohesion, the meeting prioritized national economic and social welfare issues. Key discussions centered on job creation strategies to boost sustainable employment opportunities, as well as policies to expand skills training and livelihood programs for youth and women.
President Boakai reiterated the Party’s commitment to people-centered governance, ensuring that policies translate into tangible benefits for all Liberians.
The Party’s NEC concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold transparency, accountability, and inclusive growth. As Liberia progresses under the Unity Party’s leadership, the message is clear: Unity in purpose remains the cornerstone of national development.
