Bong County- Oct. 4, 2025: The Citizens Movement for Change has launched a major infrastructure project, the Jor-River Bridge construction, in District #3, Bong County. The project was officially kicked off on October 3, 2025, in a ceremony attended by prominent figures, including CMC Political Leader Hon. Musa Hassan Bility and District #3 Representative Marvin Cole. The bridge will connect several communities, easing transportation and promoting trade and development in the area.
Hon. Bility described the bridge as a milestone for the county’s progress, symbolizing unity, hope, and advancement. He emphasized that it will provide safer and faster access to essential services like schools, markets, and healthcare facilities. Representative Cole highlighted the project’s long-term economic benefits, stating that good roads and bridges are crucial for development, and this project will open doors for commerce and improve living standards.

The bridge project aims to address the long-standing transportation challenges faced by residents, particularly during the rainy season when the Jor-River becomes impassable. Once completed, the bridge is expected to create smoother links between rural communities and foster economic growth. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find more information on this project.
