The ECOWAS Community Court has ordered the Liberian Government to respond to a lawsuit filed by Emma Glasco, the suspended Director General of the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, who is claiming $10 million for alleged violations of her rights to due process and a fair trial.
The court has given Liberia a 30-day deadline to submit its defense, warning that a judgment could be rendered in their absence if they fail to comply.

Glasco was suspended in February by President Joseph Boakai amid allegations of financial and administrative mismanagement, which she vehemently denies, asserting her right to due process. Following her suspension, Cyrus Saygbe has taken over as Acting Director General of NAFAA.
