The Minister said :”the diversity and plurality of religious beliefs and voices is an asset , and it is our role as Political leaders to protect them by upholding dialogue and the rule of law at national and international levels, ensuring peace and stability”. The Labour Ministry press release also quotes Minister Kruah as referencing United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ universal declaration for the protection of religious beliefs and human rights which states: ” Inclusive societies serve as inhibitors of violence and war. He named several medical and educational facilities provided by the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Liberia, saying: ” these are positive contributions of religion.

President Boakai and our Government assure your international leadership and members across Liberia of Government’s protection, once you remain within the confines of the law”. Minister Kruah then reflected on the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at mission to Liberia in the late 1950s, under the regime of then late former President William V. S. Tubman, since when they have remained an important religious partner to successive regimes, including the current ‘Rescue Mission Government’, which fully supports their work.
