Monrovia- November 15, 2024: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Nekotech Center of Excellence, hosted a town hall meeting today at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (EJS) Ministerial Complex. The session aimed to provide clarity and address misinformation circulating about the Nekotech Work-Study Program.

The gathering brought together prospective applicants, parents, and stakeholders, offering them an open platform to raise their concerns and ask questions about the program’s objectives, requirements, and opportunities. Representatives from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nekotech Center gave detailed presentations to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the work-study program, emphasizing its commitment to providing valuable international work experience to Liberian students.
Hon. Gabriel Salee, Deputy Minister for Administration, highlighted the importance of transparency in this initiative. “This town hall is part of our commitment to ensuring that Liberian students and their families have accurate information about the work-study program. We aim to foster trust and clarity as we work together to provide international educational and professional opportunities for our youth,” he stated.
The interactive session allowed attendees to voice their concerns, which were addressed in real-time by program officials. The event concluded with a commitment from both the Ministry and Nekotech Center to continue engaging the public for a successful and transparent implementation of the work-study initiative.
