CDC Youth League Launches Retreat in Buchanan with Strong Support for 2029 Comeback

Monrovia, Liberia – A spirited atmosphere filled with excitement greeted attendees as members and supporters of the National Youth League of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) converged in large numbers for the opening day of their retreat in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Set to take place from November 15 to November 17, the upcoming retreat is specifically designed to strengthen and rejuvenate the former ruling political party in the wake of its loss to the Unity Party in the previous year’s Presidential Election. This event serves as a critical opportunity for party members to regroup, reflect, and strategize on ways to rebuild their influence and support base. The gathering will focus on assessing the factors that contributed to their electoral defeat and will seek to foster unity among party members. Participants are expected to engage in discussions about effective communication strategies, policy development, and grassroots mobilization efforts aimed at reconnecting with the electorate. Additionally, the retreat will likely feature workshops and training sessions to enhance leadership skills and address internal challenges.

On the first day, youth league members and high-ranking party officials arrived, culminating in a vibrant parade through the streets of Buchanan City.

The enthusiastic crowd rallied together, chanting slogans and expressing their steadfast support for the potential return of former President George Weah in 2029.

The impressive turnout underscored the party’s capability to rally its supporters and foster a sense of unity and excitement, thereby boosting morale and energizing its base as they look ahead to the 2029 elections.
