Monrovia- December 17, 2023: Today, at his church,  President Weah told the congregation and the citizens of Liberia that he never voted in the security council for war in Israel. He said he felt bad for what took place in Israel. He further said the person who represented Liberia and signed for Liberia was the one who changed the document thus placing Liberia in a bad position in the eyes of other nations.

Speaking on the just-ended elections,  President Weah said is a man of peace and so his decision to expect the election results brings him no regrets. He urges CDcians not to cause problems but to watch and see what the Unity Party government is going to do within the 6yrs of governing the country

The President began by saying “It’s good to be in the house of the Lord and its good to see everyone. We prepared for Sunday to come and worship at Forky Klon and lots of people believe that when we come to church the church will be empty and that’s not true. Even if the church is empty, we have come to pray.

The President went on by saying that in his entire life what he’s called to do, he is a leader. Today he told the congregation of his church and the citizens of Liberia he never voted in the security council for war in Israel. He said he felt bad for what took place in Israel. He said the person that represented Liberia and signed for Liberia was the one that changed the document thus placing Liberia in a bad position in the eyes of other nations.

I am a man of peace and so my decision to expect the election results brings me no regrets.

Additionally, the President said the defeat of CDC came from within his government by those placed in authority. ” if we are to come back to power in 2029 then we must hold together” He urge CDcians not to cause problem but to watch and see what the Unity Party government is going to do within the 6yrs of governing the country.

I know our party is the people’s party and this party has to live again.

We must look at where we went wrong to fix it in order for for us to come back stronger than ever before.
