The Standard Bearer of the Unity Party, Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has made an impromptu trip to the ECOWAS sub-region for three days to meet some high-profile politicians and business personalities but speculations have it that the party’s Standard Bearer, Ambassador Joseph Boakai, is on a medical checkup in Ghana.

Speaking to a local radio, the official spokesman, Ali Mo of the campaign team of the Unity Party, said Amb. Boakai traveled for important trips, and when he was asked how many persons accompanied the former VP, Mr. Ali said Amb. Boakai was accompanied by his securities. Many political pundits are asking why Amb. Boakai will go on an important trip to meet high-profile people with no member of his party’s executive in attendance

At the same time, the Unity party, with immediate effect announced the suspension of the Montserrado District tour involving the Standard Bearer for three days.

The Montserrado Campaign Team in collaboration with the UP Montserrado Leadership will reschedule the tour for the remaining districts.

Meanwhile, the campaign will continue with the same vigor throughout the country.
