Liberia- June 30, 2023: As part of increasing the Armed Forces of Liberia’s (AFL) combat readiness for deployment, a team of 10 instructors from the British Military conducted weeks of intensive training for 109 AFL personnel at the Armed Forces Training Command, Camp Ware, Careysburg, Montserrado County, Liberia.



The training which was conducted from 05 to 27 June 2023 covered Counter IED Modules and Lessons, Infantry Skills and Tactics, and Team Medic Courses among others.
A graduation ceremony was held on 28 June 2003 at the AFTC.
During welcome remarks, the Acting Commandant, AFTC, Major Othello Nmah N. extended his thanks and appreciation to the British Training Team for the Training and also to the AFL High Command for their support during the training.
Remarking during the ceremony, the British Ambassador to Liberia, His Excellency Neil Bradley affirmed his Country’s commitment to continued military training and additional support to Liberia’s Security Sector.
The Chief of Staff of the AFL, Maj. Gen. Prince C. Johnson III presented a Plaque as a sign of appreciation to the British Training Team for a job well done and he also assured the team that his men will retain and utilize the knowledge acquired during the course.
The graduating students headed by 2Lt Mulbah, and Emmanuel Z. gowned the British Instructors with African attires as appreciation for the training, a gesture that was highly appreciated by the team.
