Monrovia- April 26, 2023: The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, launched the National Digital Postal Addressing System (NDPAS) to enable residents of the country to have easy access in doing holistic business, especially in this era of digital advancement.
During the launch of the program at the main complex of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on Carey and McDonald streets in Monrovia, Min. Cooper W. Kruah indicated that the National Digital Postal Addressing System is a significant milestone in the governance of Liberia under the Excellency of President George M. Weah.

Min. Kruah said the NDPAS project inaugurated by the government is intended to provide easy access in reaching a person or structure no matter where in Liberia unlike the manual archaic location description used by Liberians.
The Posts and Telecommunications boss asserted that the NDPAS to be used in Liberia is amongst the first secured and important location app worldwide.

He said with the inauguration of the National Digital Postal Address System, every home and persons will have a unique code for identification.
He mentioned that the project is a Private Public Partnership between Snoocode and the Government of Liberia.
Min. Kruah said the venture is the Government’s way of providing job opportunities for its citizens because the ministry will hire contractors who will place metallic plates of identification on structures across Liberia.
The Postal boss averred that the Government of Liberia under His Excellency President George M. Weah, Liberia is achieving greater developments especially in the postal and telecommunications sectors.
At the same time, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SnooCode, Sesinam Dagadu said the SnooCode app provides an accurate address system and will serve as a means aimed at mitigating location problem faced by the country.
CEO Dagadu said the app is secure and can be used for medical emergencies as well as other important interventions like fire disaster and transport.
He emphasized that once the SnooCode app is downloaded to a digital device, the app can be used offline.
“The app can be used offline,” he said. “If you want to order food, you can use the code provided to you via SnooCode and have it delivered to you,” CEO Dagadu added.
Mr. Dagadu mentioned that because the app works offline, it is impossible to hack people using the SnoodCode app for location.
He asserted that with the installation of the Snoocode app, professionals can render fast, efficient and better services in hard to reach places.
Furthermore, the Director of NDPAS at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Dixon Gwion said the NDPAS project is in line with digital migration overwhelmingly taking center stage of technology worldwide.
Mr. Gwion told the gathering at the program that the project is in fulfillment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2019 resolution mandating all member countries to initiate addressing systems within their respective countries.
Meanwhile, SnooCode has installed high-grade digital equipment at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to enable it carry out its work feasibly.
With the inauguration of the Snoocode app, it will facilitate professionals of diverse backgrounds like journalists, doctors, bankers as well as first respondents in carrying out their jobs.
The program was graced by the United States Ambassador accredited near Monrovia, Michael McCarthy and Ghana Ambassador Kwabena Okubi – Appiah amongst other professionals from across Liberia.
