Monrovia- March 21, 2023: Nimba County Senator Jeremiah Koung has been accused by popular radio talk show host and chief strategist/political adviser to Unity Party Standard Bearer Mr. Joseph Nyumah Boakai, Henry Costa for his involvement in ritualistic practice.
Speaking early today on his Costa Show, the emotional talk show host known for his public outburst against his perceived foes accused Senator Koung of inducing some talk show hosts and others with money to spew lies against him and will never sit by and allow such go without responding. He publicly promised to ‘destroy’ the Nimba County Senator of the Movement for Reconstruction and Democracy Party of former warlord Senator Prince Johnson, who was widely said to have been handpicked as the running mate to the defeated candidate in the 2017 presidential election which brought to power George Weah as president. However, in less than 72 hours, unconfirmed news circulating on social media said Henry Costa has instead been chosen by Mr. Boakai as his running mate.
Costa has denied the claims but said if he were ever chosen, he will accept it because of what he has done and continue to do for Mr. Boakai, not anyone in the Unity Party has done so or would ever do so. Bragging about his strong tie with the UP standard bearer, the popular talk show host intimated that he has brought in more good people to support Boakai than leaders of the party who are envious of him. Some skeptics are asking wasn’t he the same person who labeled the former vice president as a ‘dead man walking’ with no fresh idea?

With the growing wave of in-house acrimonious exchanges, observers believe that this could seriously affect the chances of Boakai’s election in October.
Meanwhile, scores of Nimbaians in the country are beginning to react to Costa’s accusation against their senator and are planning to demand proof of the allegation which is not only about the senator but their county as well. Indulging into the practice or sale of human parts is criminal and person involved risks arrest and prosecution. Neither Senator Koung or the Unity Party have responded to Mr. Costa’s claims.
