Grand Bassa County- Feb. 17, 2023: The Liberia National Police, Grand Bassa County Detachment, in collaboration with the Civil society leadership of Grand Bassa County, has ended a one day dialogue on early warning and early response during election violence ahead of crucial 2023 General and presidential elections.
Speaking during the dialogue on February 7, 2023, the Chairman of Grand Bassa Civil society, Mr. Barley Tobeh appreciated the county’s Police leadership for said meeting and promised that his institution will collaborate with the joint security to carry on community engagement awareness aimed at ensuring that the electoral process will be void of violence.
For his part, the County’s Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, William Johnson reassured residents of the county of the police’s fullest support in working with all stakeholders ahead of general and presidential elections.

He assured participants of the Police discharging its duties and responsibilities without biased.
ACP Johnson committed that the LNP’s engagements will be done on the basis of high neutrality which is geared towards promoting peace and ensuring a peaceful and level playing field for all participants in the ensuing October elections.
