Monrovia- August 14, 2022: The office of the West African Examination Council of Liberia ( WEAC ) says it is still holding on to release the full results of the 2022 WASSCE for twelfth graders due to the number of malpractices that took place in the Exam. WEAC said it is investigating 725 candidates’ papers for various exam malpractice.

Here is the breakdown of WASSCE 2022 Provisional Results below:

Total registered candidates: 42,970 Total Center: 334
Examination Malpractices: 725 candidates caught in the process.

i. 37 caught with cell phones,
ii. 564 candidates caught with foreign materials,
iii. 118 other exam Malpractices and iv. 6 either insult or assault exam workers.

**104 schools results withheld for producing what WASSCE considered non human lmages (using flowers, WASSCE symbol, etc instead of candidates’ photo).

Subject Analysis :

a). Economic: 43,272 candidates sat for it. 23,810 passed, 10,573 got credits. 19,462 failed.

b). Geography: 43,045 candidates sat for it. 28627 passed, 11,481 got credits and 14,418 failed.

c). HISTORY: 40,168 sat to the test. 3,880 passed, 2,719 got credits and 36,288 failed.

d). LITERATURE: 38,471 candidates sat took the exam. 13,849 passed, 1,685 got credits and 24,622 failed.

e). ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 43,379 candidates sat to it. 35,363 passed, 1,951 got credits and 8,016 failed.

f). MATHEMATICS: 43,413 candidates sat to it. 33,615 passed, 9,918 got credits and 9,798 failed.

g). BIOLOGY: 45,597 candidates sat to it. 32,914 passed, 16,547 got credits and 12,683 failed

h). CHEMISTRY: 31,979 candidates took the exam. 4,000 passed, zero got credits and 27,979 failed bad

i). PHYSICS: 31,927 candidates sat for it: 12,094 passed, 311 got credits and 19,834 failed.

BEST PERFORMED SUBJECTS
a). English Language: 81.5..%
b). Mathematics: 77.43% and
c). Biology: 75.53% .

LEAST PERFORMED SUBJECTS:
i.) History: 16.43 % and
ii.) Chemistry 15.35%
