Monrovia- May 25, 2022: The Ministry of Public Works(MPW) with partners is validating a session for the preparation of five strategic plans for Liberia.
Highlighting their objectives on May 23, 2022, at Corina Hotel in Monrovia during their first session seating.

Minister of Public Designates, Madam Ruth Coker-Collins said, their plan will focus on Construction to Paved Standards of XX Kms of Roads Connecting all County Capitals, Development of various policies to support the mandate of MPW, Undertaking maintenance on all categories of the road (primary, secondary and feeder), with the Provision of requite supporting infrastructure to aid rural development covering water points, rural housing and community services among others.
According to her, their five years Strategic Plan which is to start from 2022 to 2027 will provide the framework to guide the agency towards achieving its Vision and Mission.

Public Works Minister-designate with her Senior Staffers and partners who grace the session noted, that the development of the plan has benefited from an extensive cross-collaboration dialogue and engagement with many stakeholders involved with public infrastructure provision in Liberia.
“The two-day interactive session will also bring together Resident Engineers, as well as Directors and Assistant Directors at the Ministry of Public Works, Representatives from Finance and Development Planning, Staff from the African Development Bank-funded Project Implementation Unit (PIU), amongst others” she noted.
However, the Director of the Highway Construction at the Public Works Ministry, Mr. John K. Zogar Jr. calls for Institutional support for the new idea, the application of technicians or qualified people to take the task, and excellent records preservation or document control to achieve their goal
