Monrovia-May 22,2022: On Saturday, May 21, 2022, a group of citizens under the banner, Concern Citizens of District Twelve (12) assembled and appealed to their District former Representative, Hon. Richmond Sayou Anderson to contest for the District seat in the 2023 elections, which they considered has been vacant due to the absence of the district present representative Hon. George Beyan Samah.

Speaking at a brief program held at the residence of former District 12 Representative Hon. Richmond Anderson, on Kesselly Boulevard, in Gardneville, the Chairperson for the Concern Citizens of District Twelve Movement, Mr. Marvin Johnson said District #12 made a big political mistake in 2017 by electing Hon. George Beyan Samah who is stranger in the District as replacement for Hon. Anderson was big mistake from them. He mentioned that said decision is now affecting the District and its inhabitants which has led them to rethink, to appeal to Hon. Anderson to contest the District seat.

Furthermore Mr. Johnson outlines the achievements of former Representative Anderson in the District, which He named as modern Market, human capacity development, humanitarian services for the people of the District and among others.

Mr. Johnson read the petition on behalf of the group and in the petition, the group said: Dear Hon. Prof. Anderson please accept our sincere greetings and best wishes of the year.

We the concerned Citizens of District#12 Monsterrado County, Republic of Liberia. without any form of moslestation, harassment, intimidation do hereby apologize to you and your family for the mistake we made in 2017 during the representative and presidential elections in which you lost the office of District#12 Montserrado County due our negligence.

Consequently having realized our mistakes and seeing the realities of the day in District #12 we believe that you are the “political messiah” to liberate this Constituency as history recalls the work of your hands from AD 2017 to AD 2017 respectively.

Therefore we sincerely use this medium to appeal to you to kindly consent as we crave your indulgence to run for the office of representative of District#12 during the General and presidential Elections. Our springs from your unflinching efforts to help transform the gangling in discard of District#12 into a beautiful symphony of brothhood.

We pledge our loyalty and support this political race to Capitol Hill. As evidence to our readiness, willingness and ability to undertake this task we here with attached our names gender and cell number to this communication.

Receiving the appeal letter and petition from the group, Hon. Professor Richmond Sayou Anderson extended gratification to the organization for making such decision to appeal to him to contest for the District seat but said the oragnization will hear from him very soon after consulting his family and Friends of Hon. Professor Anderson before taking any decision.
