Monrovia- A Relieving Judge at the Temple of Justice in Liberia, Yamie Quiqui Gbeisey, has been accused of an illegal land grasp in Congo Town in Monrovia, denying the accuser the right to a house on a land of 3.6 acres now disputed between she and her tenant.
Madam Chucu Towillie, accused Judge Gbeisey of going into a rent agreement with her on behalf of a female friend and paying the amount of One Thousand Eight Hundred United States Dollars (US$ 1,800, 00) for a period of one year.

According to Madam Towillie, since the end of the first year rent, the tenant, Madam Oretha Arthur, has refused to pay for the additional year despite spending over six months in the three-bedroom apartment.
Madam Chucu said whenever she asked for the rent, Oretha Arthur told her that Judge Gbeisey instructed her not to pay.
Interestingly, Madam Towillie alleged that Oretha Arthur with help from Judge Gbeisey prepared a “fake” land deed claiming the portion of land on which the house that she is renting.
Legal documents including a complaint filed by Madam Towillie against Judge Gbeisey concerning the Judge’s “unholy” role in the matter, and in the possession of this online news site further point to her accusation.
In her complaint to the Chief Justice of Liberia, His Honor, Francis S. Kporkpor dated December 28, 2021, she alleged that Judge Gbeisay spearheaded the process to fix a bogus land deed, claiming the piece of land hosting the house from which Oretha rents.
Moreover, she told newsmen in Monrovia that Judge Gbeisey was the same person who presided over the matter when she took Oretha to court at the Temple of Justice.
“In fact, he was the presiding Judge and ruled in favor of Oretha after he had paid rent to me for the same place,” Madam Chucu Towillie said in her letter of compliant to Chief Justice Korkpor.
But according to Madam Tawillie, up to date, there has been no response to the letter against Judge Gbeisey.
However, when the New Liberia Newspaper contacted Judge Gbeisey via telephone concerning the matter, he said madam Towillie claim is baseless.
Judge Gbeisey averred that he has no personal contact with madam Towillie, but admitted to presiding over the matter at the Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
He said during the hearing of the matter, madam Towillie produce no evidence that shows she owns the piece of land including the house on the parcel of land.
Judge Gbeisey also revealed that the surveyor of the property in question also testified in the case denying madam Towillie claim to the property.
As for the matter relating to madam Towillie’s complaint against Judge Gbeisey before Chief Justice Korkpor, he said the matter was trashed because it had no magnitude.
“ I think madam Towillie has an agenda or she is a confused person,” Judge Gbeisey said.
