Monrovia- March 25, 2022: The Ministry of Youth and Sports has began the installation of artificial turf at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex in Paynesville.

According to sources, the ministry hired Greenfields, a top rated company based in Holland, that won the bid for the installation of the artificial Turf.

Greenfields is the company that the Liberia Football Association (LFA) used to install artificial turfs at TUSA Field in Gardnersville, SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville and the Doris Williams Stadium in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Authorities of Youth and Sports say Greenfields wants to carry out the works as speedily as possible to avoid the pending rainy season.

It can be recalled last year, the SKD was banned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for lacking basic requirements to host international matches.

Meanwhile, the MYS has completed the installation of bucket seats at the SKD.
