Monrovia- March 11, 2022: The Plenary of the Honorable House of Representatives has voted to cite the Ministries of Gender, Children and Social Protection and Justice as well as the Liberia Pharmacy Board to appear before the Plenary of the House of Representatives on next week Thursday, March 17, to provide update on the uprising cases of statutory rape across the Country.
The House’s decision taken during the 17th day sitting, followed a Communication from Montserrado County District #4 Representative Rustonlyn Suakoko Dennis, that the raging statutory rape in the Country poses a serious threat to our young generation, especially the females.


She explained in her Communication that based on the potential threat of raging statutory rape across the Country, she craved the indulgence of the Honorable House of Representatives to invite before its Plenary, the Minister of Gender, Social & Protection and her Deputies, as well as the Minister of Justice, to give updates on the states of raging statutory rape across the Country and the outcomes of these cases.
