Two State Security Officers Injured at Temple of Justice During Standoff with Musa Bility Bodyguards

Monrovia- January 6, 2022: The grounds of the Temple of Justice were a scene of drama on Thursday, January 6, 20,22 when several State securities assigned at the court sustained injuries while performing their duties.

The incident occured when personal bodyguards to embattled Liberty Party Chairman, Musa Hassan Bility violently forced their way inside the Monrovia City Court where Alternative National Congress Political Leader, Alexander Cummings, accompanied by Mr. Bility had gone to honor a writ served Mr. Cummings on Monday.

The state securities are officers of the Liberia National Police and the Monrovia City Police among others.

The officers were challenged by two securities assigned to the the Liberty Party Chairman who had also gone in solidarity with the ANC Political Leader.

Those injured are; Charles Bloyefleh Bailiff of the Monrovia City Court, Francis Armah of the Liberia National Police, Victoria Davis of the Monrovia City Police and Patience Kollie of the Liberia National Police.

The four individuals were rushed to a local medical center and are undergoing treatment.

Several supporters of the ANC were also seen at the court’s premises chanting political slogans in support of Mr. Cummings.

Calm was later restored by officers of the Police Support Unit-PSU.
