USAID Internews Chief of Party, Lien Bach Has Expressed Delight Over Partnering with The House Press Bureau in Capacity Building

September 29, 2021 Monrovia,-. USAID Internews Chief of Party for Media Activities has expressed delight to partner with the Honorable House of Representatives Press and Public Affairs Bureau in various capacities.

Lien Bach stressed the need for capacity building training for members of the House Press Bureau including independent reporters assigned at the Capitol Building.

She said training will be necessary for Journalists so as to enhance their performance in the dissemination process of News about the workings of the National Legislature.

Lien Bach made the assertions in a meeting with the Director and Senior staff of the House Press Bureau.

Internews is involved with training Journalists and digital rights activists, in tackling disinformation, and offering business expertise to help media outlets become financially sustainable. They partner with local communities – who are the people best placed to know what works.

For his part the Director of Press & Public Affairs at the Honorable House of Representatives, Robert Haynes, thanked the Internews team for the engagement meeting and promised to work along in ensuring that capacity building training for staff and independent reporters at the legislature is achieved.
