Monrovia- September 17, 2021: The Ministry of Education in collaboration with The West African Examinations Council ( WAEC), says that the remains of the victims of the July 17, 2021 boat-wreck of the Niko Invanka will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Johnsonville and Nimba United Cemeteries simultaneously.
According to a release, those to be laid to rest include five (5) staff of WAEC namely:
- The late Mr. Morris B. Kellen
- The late Mr. Johnson Wuelleh
- The late. Mr. Arkaseh Dolo
- The late. Mr.Masse M. J. Kollie
- The late. Stephen Mollie
Also to be laid to rest includes the remains of CPL Abraham T. Joe of the Liberia National Police who was serving as security escort for the WAEC exams. These patriotic citizens met their tragic death while enroute to the Southeastern Counties aboard the Niki Invanka
to administer the WAEC Examinations to students in that part of the Country.

Meanwhile, the funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the St Moses Funeral Parlors starting at 9:00AM to 12: Mid-day and interment will follow at the Johnsonville and Nimba United Cemeteries as stated.
At the same the release mentioned that all wishing to attend the funeral service, including Officials of Government, are to be seated by 8:45AM. Observing all health protocols shall be followed as directed by the funeral home.
“May their gentle souls, and all faithful departed, rest in perfect peace and light perpetual shine on them” the release stated
