Monrovia – Liberia, August 19, 2021: The Ministry of Education says In an effort to improve and strengthen the performance of our students in the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), it is releasing the following information for the administration of National Mock Exam and WASSCE respectively.

The Ministry of Education with support from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) hereby releases the following information to be observed by all Senior High Students of both Public and Private Schools in the Republic of Liberia to take note accordingly:

The ministry in a statement says, the National Mock Exam will be administered on Thursday, August 26, 2021 for both Public and Private school candidates for all 12th graders nationwide;

The Mock Exam for all 12th graders is free of charge for the entire country and will be administered in Mathematics and Language arts;

The purpose of the Mock Exam is to create motivation, independence, and confidence that will increase the performance of students;

This year’s WASSCE will be administered from September 10 – 30, 2021;

Only students passing in any three (3) subjects will be eligible or qualified for graduation.

Meanwhile, the Ministry is calling on all Education Officers across the nation to be in full readiness for the administration and supervision of this year’s National Mock Exam and WASSCE administration.

Therefore, the Ministry is cautioning all schools to continue their usual tutorial classes for the pending WASSCE administration.

Finally, the Ministry of Education extends its appreciation to the Government of Liberia for the continuous support and commitment for the improvement of our education system.
