Monrovia- August 17, 2021: In the wake of reports that suspended Buchanan Port Manager Charles McArthur Gull and others have flown out of the country, the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday vowed to exert all effort to have him and others who escape from the country, return to the country and through investigation.
LACC Chairperson Cllr. Edwin Martins, addressing a news conference Monday in Congo Town, said with strong support from the United States Government, they will do everything in their power to have the suspended Buchanan Port Manager and others returned to the country to have them undergo through investigation.

The new LACC boss said they are not sleeping on corrupt state actors within the country, while stating that they currently have four government institutions’ heads undergoing investigation.
At the same time, LACC boss has named the National Transit Authority boss Herbie McCaulay, Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation boss, Duwana Kamara, the former Managing Director of the Robert International Airport, Bishop Allan Krayee and Buchanan Port Manager Charles McArthur Gull respectively who are people of interest to them, that the Court has ordered not to leave the country.
Furthermore, the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission boss has announced September 1, 2021 as the deadline to have every public official declared their assets.
Cllr. Martins said since the pronouncement was made, the total of 59 persons representing 16 percent females and 84 percent males have voluntarily declared their assets.
Meanwhile Cllr. Martins said the extension was done due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing that the Commission anticipates that all public officials will adhere to the timeframe.
