Monrovia-August 14, 2021: The Liberia Council of Churches has extolled the Chief Executive Officer of Jeety Trading Corporation, Upjit S. Sachdeva affectionately call Jeety who is also former Honorary Consul General of India to Liberia for its humanitarian service to vulnerable Liberians.
Addressing Journalists on Friday, August 13, 2021, LCC General Secretary Rev. Christopher W. Toe said such humanitarian gesture is significant and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development goal to end hunger especially in the midst of the global pandemic, COVID-19 fight in Liberia.
The well-organized distribution of cooked food to the underprivileged population usually refer to by society as ‘Zogos’ in Monrovia and its environs by the Jeety Trading Corporation was a scene to see as hundreds of beneficiaries of the JTC initiative were queued respectively at its headquarters in Vai Town.
The well prepared cooked food with all the nourishing taste by the Jeety Trading Corporation trained dieticians professionally situated in the compound of the Company is delivered daily to feed many of its beneficiaries around Monrovia and its environs in various communities.
As the most vulnerable were served, the kids and elderly were also opportune to be served with a plate of delicious cooked rice and juice which goes along with all the necessary things that made the food to be more delicious.

The LCC Secretary and team forming part of the exercise commended Jeety for the launch and sustenance of the Public Feeding Initiative being undertaken by the former Honorary Consul General of the Republic of India in Liberia for the less privileged segment of the country’s population.
During the distribution exercise, staffs of the entity were overwhelmed to form part of this colorful food distribution exercise as private security officers were also on hand to ensure orderly conduct of recipients.
Responding to questions from Journalist the CEO of Jeety Trading Corporation, Upjit S. Sachdeva affectionately call Jeety expressed joy to collaborate with the Liberia Council of Churches to help those in need as God continues to bless him.
Jeety indicated that the food distribution initiative of the JTC is an ongoing exercise which started in 2017 and is providing food to hundreds of vulnerable Liberians on the Bushrod Island, specifically the children of Via town and Clara town.
When quizzed about the monetary value of such initiative since four years now, Jeety said “I don’t want to calculate the amount being invested in such endeavor because it could make me stop doing what I’m doing, so I just want to continue doing this as God blesses me or as long as I live”.
