Liberian government says It will Conduct An Autopsy On The Bus Conductor Who Allegedly Killed by Police Officers In Gardnersville

Monrovia- August 3, 2021: The Liberian government says it will Conduct an Autopsy on Remains of Deceased Bus Conductor in Gardnersville.

According to a press release, the Ministry of Justice has directed the conduct of an autopsy on the remains of Alieu Sheriff, a bus conductor, Alieu Sheriff, who met his untimely demise recently.
The autopsy, as mandated will establish the scientific cause of death and aid the investigation. It is expected to be conducted in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Ministry assures the , friends and sympathizers of the deceased of a speedy investigation aimed at ensuring that justice is served.

At the same time, The Justice ministry has urged all concerned to remain peaceful and calm, as all efforts are being made to impartially investigate the facts and circumstances on the cause of death.

In a related development, a five-man team has also been setup, comprising family members, friends, civil society actors to work closely with the Police in reaching a logical conclusion of this investigation.
In a meeting held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police and presided over by Internal Affairs Minister, Hon. Varney Sirleaf, the delegation representing family, friends, and sympathizers of the deceased committed themselves to remaining calm and peaceful while working with the Police to ensuring that the truth is unveiled and the necessary action(s) taken.
