To Support Electoral Process in Liberia, Sweden and UNDP Sign SEK 40 million (USD4.8 million) Financing Agreement

Monrovia- August 1, 2021: The Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia, representing the Government of Sweden, has signed an agreement with UNDP to contribute 40,000,000 Swedish Kronor (approximately USD4.8 million) to the Liberia Electoral Support Project for the period from 1 August 2021 to 31 December 2024.

Signing took place on 30 July 2021 in Monrovia.

The funding will support UNDP Liberia’s work to develop the capacity of accountable, just, and peaceful institutions that support democratic and electoral processes to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the Government of Liberia’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development.
