Monrovia-July 30, 2021: The International Rescue Committee has sponsored a workshop for would be venerable women in the Township of Westpoint. According to one of the facilitators, Mrs. Felecia Logan, the workshop is intended to provide full service, personal security and property monitoring with a 24/7 emergency response network center.
Mrs.Logan also said that the participants were introduced to a new app on their smart phones called ‘ My Watchman’ is a registered trademark of Advance Converged Technologies LLC (ACT).
This app currently offers four (4) services. The four services offered are , Security Emergency Respond Service, Medical Emergency Respond Service, Fire Emergency Respond Service, and the SGBV/ Hotline and Emergency Respond Service. The facilitators told the women that once you have this My Watchman app, security emergency incidents are acted upon in real-time, and trouble can be deterred before it happens.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Sister Annie Flomo thanked IRC, Gender Ministry and the Westpoint Township for organizing such a wonderful workshop. She further stated that with the app being installed on their phones will help them solve many problems such as the SGBV, FIRE INCIDENTS, QUICK MEDICAL RESPOND,ETC.
The workshop brought together over 20 women from the Township of Westpoint in Monrovia.
