Monrovia-July 16, 2021: AFL Captain, Ballah Gabriel Pewee has graduated from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) People’s Republic of China with a Master Degree in Information and Telecommunications Engineering.

Capt. Pewee graduated with first class upper Division and with Distinction. He also received the Chief of Staff AFL medal of Commendation for his exceptional performance during his study.

The AFL officer also obtained a diploma in Innovative Digital Economy from Asia’s Premier University, Tsinghua University, in Beijing. While on his study, the Liberian Embassy near Beijing Confirmed the nomination of Capt. Pewee as Coordinator for the Liberian Students Union in Beijing from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to his study in Beijing, Capt. Pewee earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics with Honor from Africa’s Premier Military University The Nigerian Defense Academy in Kaduna State Nigeria as a member of 59 Regular Course Army.

Captain Pewee has done the following Military Courses:
a. Platoon Commander
b. Airborne Course
c. Air Assault Course
d. Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Course.
e. Leadership and Staff Development Course.
f. Disaster Management and Preparedness Couse.
g. Map Reading and Land Navigation Course.
h. United Nations Pre-employment Course.

Capt. Pewee has served in the following capacity in the AFL:
a. Platoon Commander.
b. Company Commander
C. Battalion Intelligence Officer.
d. Military Assistance to the Hon. Minister of National Defense.

The Capt. is a personnel of the 1st Infantry Bn 23rd Inf Brigade. Capt. Pewee studied at the USTB from September 05, 2018 to June 25, 2021.
