Monrovia- July 15, 2021: The West African Examination Council of Liberia says Wednesday, July 21, 2021 will be the new date its examination. The adjustments of its examination was made to allow Muslims students observe Abraham’s Day.

In a press conference Wednesday, WAEC said the latest decision in the change of its National Examination date followed an intense negotiations with the National Muslim Students Association and the Liberia Islamic School Secretariat.

According to WAEC, they agreed for special dispensations to be given Muslim students who will be writing the exams on Abraham’s Day.

The Head of WAEC Liberia Dale Gbotoe who addressed the press, said the examination on Tuesday July 20 will now be held on Wednesday July 21, 2021, in order to afford Muslim students to join their families in observance of the Islamic Festival.
