COVID 19 Hits Bridge International Academies Liberia Offices As Two Employees Reportedly Come Down with the Virus

Monrovia- June 18, 2021: There are reports of Bridge International Academies being hardly hit by the new strains of COVID 19 that is sweeping across the country.

Bridge International is an institution partnering with the Government of Liberia to support primary education revamp.
The company currently supervises over two hundred schools and thousands of students across Liberia’s fifteen counties.

With two employees coming down with the virus the Monrovia Headquarters of the company has since shutdown to the public, leaving teachers and others that came in touch worried.
Managing thousands of students have left parents and others alike to be panicking as some of these employees work directly with schools.

There has been no official response from the company that was just this week in the news for a crucial hit by the Ministry of Labor for bad labor practices and illegal dismissals.
Labor Ministry ordered the company to pay atleast forty thousand USD to am employee whose account was hacked and misinformation inserted, ‘A complete witch hunt’ the Ministry said.

The Liberian government has announced it will take measures within 24 hours to curtailing the new wave of COVID.
President George Weah in a late Thursday night statement said the situation is alarming and hospitals were being overwhelmed.
