PRESIDENT WEAH LIGHTS UP FISSEBU TOWN AND BREAKS GROUND FOR THE EXTENSION OF GANGLOTA PUBLIC SCHOOL IN LOFA COUNTY

Residents of Fissebu Town in Lofa County are now the latest beneficiaries of the special presidential solar lights project.

Fissebu is a little Town fifteen minutes drive away fro Zorzor District, Zorzor City Lofa County.

The rural residents smile and jubilated Thursday night June 3, 2021 when their leader, President George Weah switched on Solar lights for the first time in their town.

As was done in other Counties, the solar lights unlike before will now help improve local economic activities including security protection for the people in their Town.

In a happy mood, the beneficiaries dance and shower praises on the Liberian leader for the meaningful and historical project in their area.

The light poles according to the Executive Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) Pepci Quiwu Yeke is one hundred and fifty and have been erected in strategic areas in Fissebu and surrounding areas in Lofa County.

President Weah speaking briefly when he switched on the lights encouraged the happy beneficiaries to maintain the facility for their own good.

Meanwhile the lightning project was supervised, implemented and installed by the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) headed by its Executive Director Pepci Quiwu Yeke who is a son of Fissebu Town.

Meanwhile the electrification project is expected to be extended to Foya and Voinjama City Lofa County respectively, that’s according to reports.

IN ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT, PRESIDENT WEAH BREAKS GROUND FOR THE EXTENSION OF GANGLOTA PUBLIC SCHOOL

In an effort to improve infrastructure development in Liberia’s educational sector, President George Weah Thursday June 3, 2021 broke ground for the extension of the Ganglota public school in Lofa County.

The project which is funded by the citizens self help initiative upon completion will be elevated from junior high to senior high level.

It is also expected to increase enrollment at that public facility due to the growing population in the area as well as ease the long distances students in the surrounding areas normally walk just to acquire secondary education.

Lofa County like other Counties in Liberia is among other things noted for producing scholars as well as placing education as high priority for its citizens including increasing in enrollment at various institutions of learning across Liberia.

Speaking at the ground breaking ceremony Thursday President Weah said the project is a manifestation of his government quest to improve the learning facilities for Liberian students in order for them to remain focused and committed to their studies.

He said his government desire is to ensure that Liberian students compete with their foreign counterparts as such his administration will endeavor to provide the necessary resources and suitable learning atmosphere for such to be realized.

The project is expected to commence soon and will be dedicated in 2022.

Meanwhile the ground breaking ceremony is part of activities marking the fourth phase of the citizens engagement County tour which started early February of 2021.
