Installation of Street Lights In Buchanan Is A Waist Of Resources- Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence

Monrovia- April 27, 2021: CPP Chairperson, Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence describes President Weah installation of street lights in Buchanan City as a complete waste of state resources; threatens to remove the President’s newly installed street lights.

As part of his citizens’ engagement county tour in Grand Bassa County, President Weah switched on street lights in the streets of Buchanan City.

But appearing as guest on Spoon FM Monday, Senator Lawrence expressed frustration over the President’s decision to have installed street lights in Buchanna City.

According to her, she has already installed solar panel street lights in the same area prior to the President entering the County.

The Liberty Party Political leader said those street lights she installed are currently functioning and as such; it was not important for the Liberian Leader to have planted lights in the same direction where she has her light poles.

The Grand Bassa County Senator indicated that it was her hope that the President strengthens her efforts by installing street lights to places in Grand Bassa that have not experienced electricity over the years.

The CPP Senator further described her solar panel lights in Buchanan as the best street lights in the area.

She argued that her lights are brighter than those that the President has already installed.

She has threatened to remove President Weah’s newly installed street lights from where they are currently planted in Buchanan and take them to areas that do not have street lights in the County.

Madam Karnga-Lawrence

According to her, if the President’s Street lights are removed and relocated to areas without lights will help other citizens benefit and the Country’s resources will not be wasted. -30-
