President Weah Dedicates Fairground Road and Mini Sports Stadium in Grand Bassa County

Buchanan, Grand Bassa County- April 21, 2021: President George Manneh Weah is currently on his Third Leg Nationwide County Tour in Buchanan, Grand Bassa county. In Buchanan, the president dedicated the Buchanan Fairground Road as part of the Government of Liberia’s Public Sector Investment Program ( PSIP) through the National Road Fund of Liberia.

The dedication of the Fairground Road further demonstrates that roads connectivity remains the flagship agenda of the CDC led Administration.

The Liberian Leader used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment toward connecting county capitals.

The Project is a 1.5 km stretch and was constructed by Sidani Group Holding.

The outcome of the Fairground Road Project further draws attention to the infrastructure development goal, particularly in the road and bridge sectors of the Government of Liberia’s Pro Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD).

The Government through the Ministry of Public Works is committed to rehabilitate, reconstruct and construct primary/secondary feeder urban neighborhood.

In a related development, calls for the rehabilitation of the Benson River Bridge are gaining fresh momentum, as on Wednesday engineers of the Ministry assessed the current status of the bridge , noting that there exists possibility for the structure to be maintained.

The Bridge connects the Grand Bassa County Technical College to the main Buchanan City.

Meanwhile, President Weah according to cogent information is keen towards alleviating the plight of the students, many of whom are constrained to travel over the misshape structure that poses risks to the free movement of commuters.
