The commencement of civil works on the 45 km RIA ROAD left many people in awe, as major grading and shaping works are ongoing.

Both the Contractor and Consultants, East International on the one hand, and Ilshin Engineers and Consultants Co. Ltd. and Emperror 88 respectively have been fully mobilized.

The project which is titled: “Upgrading to Dual Carriageway Expansion of RIA Road”, started 3km off from the main Airport and Unification City Intersection in Margibi County towards the ELWA Junction in Paynesville City.

According to Acting Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins, all detailed design works have been concluded, adding that the project is expected to be completed within thirty six months.

Madam Collins also intoned that the project will be expedited by targeting two fronts: RIA – ELWA and from ELWA Junction to RIA simultaneously.

ILshin Engineers and Consultants Co. Ltd is a South Korean Consultancy Company working alongside it’s Liberian counterpart, Emperor 88.
