Monrovia- February 15, 2021: A resident of Doe Community, Jonah Island, identified as Beatrice Kollie has been arrested and Turned over to the Monrovia City Court for allegedly pouring hot GRS water on her nine (9) years Old son Emmanuel Flomo.

According to the Liberia National Police(LNP) Charge sheet, on Saturday, February 6,2021 at the hour of 4:00 P.M. defendant Beatrice Kollie, thirty-six (36), tied her son Emmanuel Flomo hands on his back with clothes while in their bed room for allegedly Stealing LD 70 and immediately wasted the hot boiling water on his skins.
When the incident occured the victim Emmanuel Flomo were immediately accompanied at the office of the Women and Children Protection Section of Zone10 police substation in Doe Community due to his critical condition which caused him to suffered severe pain from the burn he sustained.
Meanwhile, the Victim Emmanuel Flomo were later rushed at the Redemption Hospital for Medical examination and treatment.
During the police investigation into the merits of the complaint filed by community dwellers, among several witnesses, confirmed that Madam Beatrice Kollie willfully locked the victim indoor and wasted hot boiling water on him due to his alleged stubbornness which led to victim Emmanuel sustaining serious body injury.
Liberia National Police Charge sheet revailed that, after the incident occured defendant Beatrice Kollie wilfully admitted to the allegations and stated that she wasted the hot boiling water on her son due to his stubborness and also stoled LD70 which was given to her as customer change.
Based upon the facts and circumstances surrounding the matter adduced with evidences and witness testimonies, footage of the victim grave injuries on multiple parts of his body the defendant were charged Aggravated Assault act which contravene Chapter 14, Section 14.20 of the Penal Code law of the Republic of Liberia and forwarded to the Monrovia City for further proceedings.
