Some Citizens Applaud President Weah For Encouraging The AFL To Get Involve in Agriculture; Say The Army Involvement Is Actually Needed In Liberia Agriculture Sector

Some Citizens have applauded president George Weah for encouraging the Armed Forces of Liberia to get involve in Agriculture. They call on the government during the sixty fourth(64) Armed Forces of Liberia celebration day held at the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia, to straighten the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) agriculture department to allow their involvement in growing more food for the nation growth through the agriculture sector.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Monrovia Latest News, a prominent resident of Jallah Town community, Mr. Joseph J. Mulbah says the Involvement of the AFL in recent times by paving, reconstructing roads and providing medication for ordinary citizens across the country shows that the army is hardly prepared to take over the agriculture sector and contribute towards the nation growth.

He further said that the Armed Forces day celebration held indoor is applauded because the government are faced with economy challenges and especially the Corona virus (COVID-19) situation that is ongoing in Liberia and around the world.

He noted that despites citizens are feeling disenchanted about the AFL program being held indoor, he is urging them to remain focus in working with president George M. Weah government for the sake of the peace and prosperity of the nation.

He noted that they expect government to provide more funding for the army so that it will help them take care of their welfare.

Also speaking to our microphone, Prince Klarry said despite citizens are disenchanted about the AFL indoor program which denied their rights from seeing the soldiers parading around Monrovia as usual.

At the same, Mr. Klarry said it is now time citizens should accept the protocols set aside by the government and cooperate with the government so that peace with exist among them to move the nation forward.

He noted that AFL 64th anniversary program represent peace and reconciliations.

Meanwhile, he also urged the government to train more men to secure the various borders point of the country and to recruit more man power to serve the military to protect the land and birth of Liberia.
