“Gbarnga-Salayea Road Project not Abandoned” Acting Public Works Minister Clarifies

GBARNGA, BONG COUNTY- January 29,2021: Acting Public works minister madam Coker -Collins has clarified that the Gbarnga-Salayea Road Project is on course and has not been Abandoned, Amid reports permeating several corridors including the media landscape in Liberia that is abandoned. Acting Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins leading a team of Public Works Officials today visited the Gbarngar-Salayea project site where works are ongoing at various locations including the camp sites where materials and equipment are stationed.

The Minister who was flanked by Officials of the Infrastructure Implementation Unit ( IIU), inspected ongoing works at the CHICHO quary and other corridors along the 81km stretch of road.
Speaking to reporters in Waterside, Bong County, the exuberant Works Minister said that the movement of equipment from one camp site to another along the same project area had been misconstrued by some residents of the both counties.

According to her, the Government of Liberia under the able leadership of President George Weah remains committed to roads connectivity in Liberia, stressing that no project once commenced will be abandoned. 
Meanwhile, the Minister is visiting other projects while on her tour, paramount amongst them include: Ganta- Yekepa, Ganta-Saclepea,amongst a host of other projects.
