Monrovia- August 28, 2020: A resident of New Kru Town, on the Bushrod Island, identified as George Appleton, who Allegedly raped a 3years old girl in Newkru town Community, was August 26,2020 arranged at the Monrovia City Court and forwarded to Jail by Judge Jomah S.Jallah for his alleged involvement in the rape saga.

Defendant George Appleton age 25 was arrested and acquainted with his Miranda rights, investigated by the Liberia National Police with the commissioned of the crime rape in violation of section 14. 70 a and b of the new penal law of Liberia.

Meanwhile, the victim mother Mamie Tucker age 30 filed a complain against George Appleton for sexually abusing her 3years old daughter by putting his finger in to her private part which led to her sustaining serious injury.

when the Situation occurred, the medical report received by the liaison section of the Liberia National Police case file established that incident was a statutory rape involving defendant Appleton along with the following document of court proceeding which is noted on the charge sheets records identified as the suspect interview, statement from 1 eyewitness, Complain from Victim mother, Medical report gathered from Redemption hospital,original copy document which established that the defendant committed the said crime.

Following the said incident, defendant Appleton was charged and placed at the Monrovia Central prison for further trial proceeding.
