Liberian Immigration Service has started a formal investigation on how Costa obtained a Laissez-passer to come to Liberia

Monrovia-The Liberian Immigration Service has formally begun investigation into circumstances leading to how talkshow host Henry Costa obtained what the authorities have determined to be a forged travel document.

It can be recalled that Mr.Costa arrived in the country some weeks ago using a laissez-passer which he said he obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On Saturday, January 11, he was requested by the LIS for invesgation and he presented himself at the headquarters of the LIS, unaccompanied by a lawyer.

Following a request for the presence of his counsel before investigation could begin, Cllr Findley Kangar came to represent him. Mr. Costa revealed during questioning that the laissez-passer was obtained with the assistance of Sylvester Tevez Nah – who is being sought to aid with the investigation.

Mr. Costa left the headquarters of the LIS on Saturday afternoon after writing a statement and being signed for by his legal counsel.
The LIS assures the public that while it is determined to carry out an expeditious investigation, it will ensure that the process is impartial and professional.
