Inter-Religious Council begins Mediation Talk between COP and the government, As it regards to the pending December 30 protest.

Monrovia- As a way of mediating between the Council of Patriots and the government of Liberia to dialogue for peaceful solution rather than planned December 30, the Inter-Religious Council of Liberia held meeting today with the Government of Liberia and the Council of Patriot at the conference room of the Liberia Council of Churches at 15th Street Sinkor, in Monrovia.

According to a release issued in Monrovia, The meeting was comprised of representatives from the UN, ECOWAS, Liberia Peace Building office and Traditional Council is part of on-going dialogue and mediating role of the IRCL between the GOL and COP with regards to the pending December 30, protest.


The GOL was represented by Justice Minister Musa Dean, Minister of Internal Affairs- VARNEY Sirleaf, Labour minister- Moses Kollie, and Prof. Wilson Tarlee, Minister of Commerce. The COP was represented by it’s chair: Henry P. Costa, Mohammed Ali- General Secretary, Representative Yekeh Kolubah, Rev. Sepster Dennis, and others.
