LNP Dismisses Police Superintendent For Unethical Behavior

Monrovia-The Liberia National Police has dismissed and sent to Court former Superintendent of Police,Arthur V. Freeman for alleged Criminal Conspiracy, Harassment, Theft of Property, while his accomplice Alphonso Gbidi is also charged with Criminal Conspiracy, Impersonating as official and Criminal Facilitation.

According to Police investigation conducted, suspect Arthur Freeman and his accomplices, on April 4, 2019, during the afternoon hours, went to complainant Ismaila Jalloh’s Business Center in Red light and demanded the amount of Seven Hundred United States dollars (USD700.00) and forcibly took nine tins of Nursie milk valued at One Hundred Three dollars fifty cents (USD103.50) under the pretence that victim Jalloh was selling goods that are not to be sold in Liberia.

The LNP says the alleged act by suspect Arthur Freeman is a gross violation of Chapter 10 Section 10.4, Chapter 14 Section 14.28 and Chapter 15 Section 15.51 of the penal code of the Republic of Liberia.

Meanwhile, his accomplices Newsome Dokie and William Dahn are also charged in absentia with Criminal Conspiracy,Impersonating as official and Criminal Faciliration in violation of Chapter 10 Section 10.2 of the revised penal code of the Republic of Liberia.
