To Boost Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency morale, U.S. Embassy Donates 770 Uniforms

Monrovia- The US Embassy in Monrovia has donated Seven hundred- seventy set of uniforms to the Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency.

The US Embassy says while Emphasizing the strong partnership between the United States and Liberia, Ambassador Christine Elder on behalf of the United States Government donated 770 new uniforms to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) last week at a ceremony in Monrovia presided by LDEA Director General Marcus Soko.

In her remarks, Ambassador Elder highlighted collaborations between the U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Intl Narcotics & Law Enforcement (INL) Enforcement Unit and the LDEA, and several of the LDEA’s recent drug interdiction successes. She explained that Uniforms are an important part of creating a sense of solidarity and professionalism.

“In donating these uniforms, we underscore our commitment to standing by the LDEA and the people of Liberia as you play an essential role in combatting drug dependency that is ruining the lives of young Liberians and ripping families apart. The work you do is your country’s best hope in creating a brighter and more secure future for young Liberians.” she concluded.
