MONROVIA- On Thursday, September 12,2019, Social media was flooded with Nude photo believed to be the photo of assistant Minister of Public Works J. Jefferson Chesson. But The assistant Minister Chesson has termed the purported nude photo Fake.

Responding to the purported photo, Assistant minister Chesson Writes:

“For more than two months, strange individuals have been texting and calling me on unknown numbers to inform me about a nude photo that claim contains image of me and a lady.
They threatened that a failure on my part to give them a sum of US$ 10, 000 would leave them with no option but to publish the said nude item using my Facebook page that I have been unable to access for the last three weeks. For three weeks, I have not been able to access my Facebook page. I reported the matter to Facebook Management but the matter was not resolved until I came to China for a training. Last night, to my utmost surprise, I received a call from someone that a footage containing an image believed to be me, was posted on my page. I was a bit confused; because, looking at my status in society as an official of government who have always strive harder to uphold the values of the office that I hold and also respect the values that said office brings to the fore, I do all within my power to live within the confines of the law. Nudity is wrong, I therefore do not practice such. I have never ever engaged in any such nuisance act. The photo making rounds on the social media as me, are totally untrue. The image is not mine photo. I strongly believe that this is the work of few hateful individuals who are so bent on doing everything within their means to taint, damage, ruined and bismear my hard earned reputation. I will therefore do everything within my power to investigate and if possible , follow every legal means in dealing with this matter upon my return to the country
. Nevertheless, I would like to extend a sincere apology to my friends and colleagues in government who feel embarrassed as a result of this dirty act attributed to me. Again, let me repeat, that photo is fake. They were done to damage and destroy my character. With God above our rights defending, we will remain focus, undisturbed and unbending towards the good of Liberia and her peace loving people. Thanks…” He concluded.
