Ganta, Nimba County- A delegation from the Jewel’s Starfish Foundation (JSF) Wednesday ended a day long assessment mission to Ganta City, Nimba County to aquite itself with beneficiaries of the foundation’s scholarship.

The foundation which was founded in 2007 by former Bong County Senator now Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, is a non-political and non-profit organization specifically focusing on women empowerment and girls empowerment through the provision of scholarships from Grades 7 to 11 with 75 average and above.
The Jewel’s Starfish Foundation is also involved giving out micro-credit or loan to parents of beneficiaries as means of empowerment.

Speaking to beneficiaries of the Jewel’s Starfish Foundation during the assessment mission in Ganta Wednesday, the Executive Director of the foundation,Ms Dzifa Zormelo pointed out that the provision of scholarships is VP Taylor own way of assisting the less fortunate girls who parents cannot afford to send them to school.
