Monrovia- The West African Senior School Certificate Examination ‘WASSCE’ results of 2019 have been released by its head in person of Mr. Dale G. Gbotoe on today, July 25, 2019.
From the results that were released, we all can agree that there has been tremendous improvements on the part of students as compared to the 2018 results which was really discouraging because of the inadequate preparedness of students who sat that examination.
I would like to congratulate all those students who were successful in their examination and caution those who weren’t successful to rewrite the examination. Below are the full results of those who passed the 2018 examination and those who are successful in 2019 examination.

There are 406 students who passed in both English and Mathematics in 2019 as compared to the 2 students who passed in 2018.
There are 13 students who passed in Five (5) subjects including English and Mathematics in 2019 as compared to the none that didn’t pass in 2018.
There are 4,379 students who passed at least in any five (5) subjects in 2019 as compared to the 29 students in 2018.
There are 11,817 students who passed in at any three (3) subjects in 2019 as compared to the 154 students in 2018.
There are 2 students who passed in all Nine (9) subjects in 2019 as compared to the single student student who passed in 2018.
There are 278 students who passed at least in any seven (7) subjects in 2019 as compared to the 23 students in 2018.
There are 2,942 students who passed in at least Five (5) subjects in 2019 as compared to the 273 students in 2018.
There are 27,251 students who passed in one (1) subject in 2019 as compared to the 12, 929 students in 2018.
There are 12,329 students who didn’t pass in any subject in 2019 as compared to the 20,343 students in 2018.
There were also 46 schools that had students that never passed in single subject.
Moreover, 8,299 students from 72 schools results are withheld for academic malpractices that were exhibited during the administering of the Examination. With the released of these results, we can safely and proudly say that there have been some level of improvement from the students. Thanks to all teachers and instructors who helped the students in their successes.
We look forward to a better result than this in the 2020 WASSCE examination. To all students who weren’t successful, we urge you to keep faith and focus more on your lessons. This isn’t or shouldn’t be the end to your academic careers, the statement concluded.
