Monrovia- Citizens in Monrovia are worry that Cholera out break may take place in the city as the city is being engulfed by huge pile of dirt.
Speaking to a team of our reporters, a resident of Clay and Benson streets only identify as ‘Swaray’ says he has been making calls and even telling some MCC field supervisors to try to take the huge pile of dirt from the streets but to no avail. Swaray says they can’t sit or eat in their various houses comfortable as sure he is worry that cholera break may take in his area(Clay&Benson streets) and other parts of monrovia.
In a related development, some marketers of Duala market have said they may get cholera or diseases from pile of dirt in the Kuwait area if the MCC doesn’t do any thing fast to get the dirt out of the area.
Over past one month now citizens in Monrovia have been crying out about the filthiness of Monrovia but there has not been much things done by the Koijee leadership of the Monrovia City Corporation to clean the city as residents in all part of Monrovia are being engulfed by dirt.

Almost all parts of Monrovia are being engulfed by dirt. The city of Paynesville especially Redlight market, Gardnersvile –Super market, Freetport, Duala market among other parts of Monrovia are very filthy leaving many people to worry about cholera.

What has MCC said in the filthiness of the city?
The Monrovia City Corporation has told the public that, it is challenged by the huge pile of dirt due to the low budget to clean and lack of international support to clean the entire city. In one of its press conference, the City major said people should to dispose the dirt properly or even bury the dirt if necessary.
