Monrovia- For duping several Scratch Cards Sellers, purported 419 Employees of National Social Security and Welfare Corporation has been sentenced prison.

The 419er who is identified as Alfred T. Benson of 20th Street Sinkor, was on today sent to jail at the Monrovia Central Prison for allegedly duping several lone star and Orange Scratch cards sellers with cards worth more than two thousand three hundred and thirteen dollars USD(2,313.00) base on charge of theft of property in violation of chapter 15 , Sub Chapter “” D”section 15.51 of the new penal code law of Liberia.
According to one of the complainants Lassana Boakai said in December 2018, defendant Alfred told him that his boss who is a manager of NASSCORP sent him to buy scratch for his entity and his staff.
Mr. Boakai said he gave Alfred USD 360 Scratch cards in which he follow the defendant at NASSCORP head office at 15 street, Sinkor and the both of them enter the building to transact but when the both of them got there, he to him to wait in front of the manager office and he waited so long.
Few hour later defendant Alfred bypass the door and left the building and went to unknown destination.
But Alfred waited so long at the security booth without seeing him.
Another defendant Isaac G. Benson also said on April 30, 2019 he was engaged by the same fellow on Capital Hill, asking him to exchange USD to LD but told him that the both of them must go to 9st Sinkor where the defendant went behind a big tree and pretended that he was walking with someone and went to unknown destination with his money but later in June 10, 2019 he was arrested at LBDI bank on 9street Sinkor while attempting to allegedly dupe someone again, and he was picked up by police through another victim Isaac G. Banwon and taking at the LNP headquarters for further investigation which established that the defendant is a day to day 419 scratch cards buyers that usually steal from people.
