More young people to benefit from the ministry of Youth and sports and LACE Household Enterprise Project

Monrovia-The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) began the second phase of one of the sub components called the Household Enterprise in Youth Opportunity Project (YOP) in 15 new communities in Monrovia, where poverty youths will received a loan after been vetted and placed in a Group of minimum 3 and maximum 8.

The House Enterprise is designed to improve the lives of young people from ages 15-35 from communities in Monrovia while we have the Productive Public Works throughout the 15 Counties across the Country.

During the exercise the Ministry of Youth and Sports Boss Hon. D. Zeogar Wilson toured the various communities where the process was being conducted and motivated the youths to be focus and sincere because this is a very good start for building a future that they have not had in decades this came in a wake of the Ministry of Youth and Sports being the lead Ministry implementing the YOP program.

The process is where it begins with undemanding target, where youth from 15 to 35 will be questioned to know whether they reside in that given community for transparency and accountability. This will also indicate your current state of being to be eligible for the loan.

In an exclusive interview with the team of journalists on the tour Minister Wilson said he is very impressed especially with the female turn out even though it is 50-50 parity the vetting process will conclude on.

We also want to encourage the males to turn out because in ever community that we are doing recruitment we will want 50 male and 50 female, however the exercise is good and I am encourage about the young people turn out which will help the to benefit themselves Minister Wilson added.
He also noted that there will be additional 15% will be recruited to have a gender balance of 50 male and 50 females for the loan.
