Monrovia- The head of Economic Freedom Fighter of Liberia Emmanuel Gonquoi has said that his group is not an auxiliary for any political party or a Civil Society group.

“People who say we are part of the Unity party or any political party is misleading, we are not part of any political party. “we want to be like the EFF in South Africa you; we are seventy-five complete of getting a political party status and I can say we will soon be full political party in liberia”. Mr. Gonquoi told Radio Maria (the Catholic radio station) in Monrovia. He made the classification after some people in some quaters have accused the Economic Freedom Fighter of Liberia as a auxillary group of the Unity party.

The Economic Freedom Fighter was founded in 2017 after the heated political election. According to some founding members, the EFF will function as their counterpart in South Africa.

In another development, The secretary of EFF John Kangbah resigned this week from the organization citing corruption and personalization of the organization by Emmanuel Gonquoi but Mr Gonquoi says the former secretary was not qualify for the position. He said the former secretary has not written any fitting document for the organization and how can he says he was the secretary of the EFF.
